SOEC – Saleen SCORCHER T-Shirt

To celebrate Saleen Automotives’ rich racing history, Saleen Owners and Enthusiasts Club did a limited run of tee-shirts with the original Saleen and SCORCHER sponsor logos.

Task: Create a limited-edition, retro-inspired t-shirt that celebrates Saleen Autosport racing heritage from 1991, the Champion “Scorcher” series battery.

Solution: Recreate each vintage logo of final shirt design. The 1988-98 Saleen corporate logos were no-longer on file.

SOEC – AutoExpress T-Shirt

To celebrate Saleen Automotives’ rich racing history from the late 1980s, Saleen Owners and Enthusiasts Club did a limited run of tee-shirts with the original Saleen and AutoExpress sponsor logos.

Task: Create a limited-edition, retro-inspired t-shirt that celebrates Saleen Autosport early racing heritage, General Tire Motorsports & Montgomery Ward AutoExpress service centers.

Solution: Recreate each vintage logo of final shirt design. The 1988-98 Saleen corporate logos were no-longer on file as a digital design and AutoExpress service centers were out-of-business for decades. The tri-color “swoop” was my interpretation of the 1987-89 General Tire Motorsports paint scheme.

SOEC Decal – Legacy Version (1992 & 2015)

Task: Recreate the original 1992 Saleen Owners and Enthusiasts Club logo for use on a retro screen print decal.

Solution: Start by recreating the original 1988-98 Saleen corporate “S” logo. Then try and find a match for the curved font.

Size: Custom 3 inch die-cut with flat bottom. A custom die was produced to create a flat bottom decal.
Quantity: 3,000 (est.).
Software Used: Adobe Illustrator
